Fluoride Filters Now In Stock

Fluoride Filters Now In Stock

The state government are going ahead with a plan to introduce fluoride into the water supply of magor towns and cities throughout Queensland.  It is due to happen in Cairns in the next 6 months.  You do not get a choice.. it's happening!  Fluoride is not broken down through cooking processes and it is not filtered out with a standard carbon filter.  The only way to remove all fluoride is using a reverse osmosis (R.O.) water filter which will cost about $ 700.  R.O. water doesn't contain natural minerals and it does not hydrate your body efficiently.  The production of R.O. water will waste 6 litres of water down the drain for every 1 litre that it produces.  But there is an alternative!  The Durand filter works at a lower cost because it is not pressurised water and it will filter 2 litres per hour.  This filter will remove 95% of fluoride and it will also remove arsenic.  It works in conjunction with a carbon filter which will remove in excess of 95% of chlorine and 99.999% of bacteria.  The Durand Fluoride reduction filter is available in 3 colours and are $ 345 which includes filter candles which will filter 2,000 litres of water.  Click her for more information about the fluoride filtering candle.

New Book Release

New Book Release

"For perhaps fifty thousand years the Aboriginal people have lived, and lived well, in Australia. They have developed a unique knowledge of native plants and a deep understanding of the value of many animal products. Bush Food is an exploration of these traditional skills and a compendium of the kinds of foods eaten by Aborigines. It indicates how food is caught or gathered, hunted or picked, how it is prepared and cooked, and what nutritional value it has. It considers, too, the use of natural products in traditional Aboriginal herbal medicine."  author Jennifer Isaacs $  45.

A Final Thought

A Final Thought

A computer left on overnight uses 1kW of electricity; if 1,000 people turned off their work computers when they go home, they will save 180 tonnes of CO2 emissions every year.  Don't forget!!!

Fluoride Without Choices

Few people seem to be aware that we have a choice about which particular fluoride chemical we will use to fluoridate Cairns water. There are 3 options, and if health is the criteria upon which the choice is determined, then SODIUM FLUORIDE will be a unanimous decision but Cairns regional Council is favouring the cheapest option which is Sodium Silicofluoride.

Option 1 which is Sodium Fluoride, is classified as a Pharmaceutical Grade product. This means that it must meet strict standards of purity, and be subject to periodical testing, thus ensuring that it is, by government definition, suitable for human consumption. Sodium Fluoride is the most expensive option, and is the chemical used in Townsville and Mareeba water supplies.

Options 2 & 3 are known collectively as Silicofluorides, and their classification is Industrial Grade. The pesticide and rat poison industries use silicofluorides, as do the laundry and drycleaning trades, for stain removal. These chemicals are also used extensively in the refining of oil. Sodium Silicofluoride is the cheapest option.

Unlike pharmaceutical grade Sodium Fluoride, the silicofluorides do not have to be chemically pure, and may therefore be contaminated with residues of toxic heavy metals, such as arsenic, mercury and lead, all of which are known carcinogens. Product will vary from batch to batch.

If you would like more information about this please send me an email & title it "Fluoride Info please" & I will forward more information directly to you.
